Basic Profile Example
Assume you have a machine with 25 GB of data stored.
You decide to back up only most crucial files and those files
end up filling 12 GB of tape.
Under the Basic profile, you would be charged
10 * $5.00 (your cost for the first 10 gigabytes) = $50.00
+ 2 * $3.00 (your cost for the remaining 2 GB) = $6.00
for a total of $56.00 per month.
Of course, this is an oversimplified example in that it
assumes that your backed up files will not be changed.
Changing the files will add to the amount of data stored
on the TSM server for a period of time determined by your
backup profile (7 days in the case of the Basic and Basic+
profiles). It is strongly recommended that you read

backup recovery system works
