Guidelines for Use

Walkup Computing is provided to facilitate the educational and research mission of the University of Illinois. Walkup may be used by UIUC students, faculty, staff, and authorized guests who have been assigned guest accounts.

All usage is governed by the UIUC Computing and Networking Policies, with particular attention to the proper and authorized use of UIUCnet.

Availability

Access to Walkup Computing may differ by location. For example, library hours may vary, and departments may limit access to classrooms or other areas. Contact the network administrator or the staff at the site you wish to use.

The Walkup Computing network services are available all day. Any outages for routine maintenance and changes will normally take place only during scheduled network maintenance.
