Short-term Network Guest Accounts and VPN Access

If you are visiting the Urbana-Champaign campus, you can have the person or department sponsoring your visit arrange for a guest account that will provide you with network access. These guest accounts typically last for three days, though longer access can also be arranged. The account will permit you to connect to the Internet via either the UIUCnet Wireless or Ethernet-based Walkup networks.

Guests use a different connection method than campus students, faculty, and staff. To see guest-specific configuration directions for your computer, select your operating system below:
