New Features
System RequirementsUnlike previous versions of Windows, Vista's features depend heavily on the capabilities of the computer on which it's installed. All PCs that meet the minimum requirements listed below (described as the Basic features) should be able to run the core elements of Vista, such as the changes in finding information, increased security measures, and improved reliability. Some features of the Vista Aero interface require advanced hardware. Vista’s default installation is Aero, but if your computer’s system cannot handle Aero’s required settings, Vista will install itself using the highest level of settings that your system can handle.
