Electronic Directory Editor Web Interface

Description

Email redirection allows people and departments to easily update their NetID@uiuc.edu email address without the need to notify senders of a change in email accounts.

Who can use this service

Any person, department, or unit with an Electronic Directory entry and the ability to change its email field using the Electronic Directory Editor

When the service is available for use

Supported Service Hours:
Twenty-four hours a day, excluding the maintenance hours listed below

Maintenance Hours*:
5:30 A.M. to 7:30 A.M. Monday through Friday
5:30 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. Saturday
5:30 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. Sunday

* The NetID@uiuc.edu Email Redirector service consists of several redundant servers that are rarely inaccessible at the same time. The service will almost always be available during these maintenance hours.

What you must have in order to use the service

  • Electronic Directory entry
  • An email account in which your NetID@uiuc.edu email is received (for example, CITES Express Email, a departmental email account, Yahoo! Mail, or Gmail)
  • If you choose to change the email account to redirect your NetID@uiuc.edu email, then you must have the ability to edit the Electronic Directory entry email field using the Electronic Directory Editor. To do this:
