Campus Information Operators

The Campus Information Operators provide telephone numbers for campus units, faculty, staff, and students associated with the Urbana-Champaign campus. The operators answer calls from anyone dialing the main University telephone number, 333-1000. Many of these calls are then routed to campus units, staff, faculty, or students.

The University telephone operators can be reached from any campus telephone by dialing 0. The operators also intercept disconnected campus telephone numbers (333, 332, 244, and 265 prefixes) and will attempt to provide a referral or alternative number.

In addition to telephone numbers, the campus information operators provide addresses for campus units, faculty, and staff. The operators also provide basic academic calendar information, library hours, U.S. area codes, and dialing instructions for campus phones.
