NetID Claiming for Undergraduate Students

Your NetID

Your Network ID (NetID) is a unique username that you will use to identify yourself when you log in to a variety of important campus computer applications. It must be "claimed" before you can set your NetID password and other passwords.

If you have formally accepted undergraduate admission, you should have received an email with instructions for claiming your NetID online and setting your NetID password.

After you have set up your Net ID and password, you will be able to link to the EnterpriseID page. CITES encourages you to go ahead and set up your EnterpriseID and password as well. Your Enterprise ID will allow you to claim your housing contract and to access the Student Self-Service Online Registration Forms.

If you have not received your NetID claiming instructions, please contact the Office of Admissions and Records at (217) 333-0302. If you have problems or questions concerning your NetID or NetID password, contact the CITES Help Desk for assistance.

If you have already claimed your NetID and set your NetID password but don’t remember what your password is, you can use the online NetID Password Manager to reset your password. You can also reset it by fax (the form can be found on the NetID Password Manager page) or in person at the CITES Help Desk.
