Your NetID

Your NetID is a unique name that you will use to identify yourself when you access a variety of important computer applications on campus, such as:

• Setting your EnterpriseID password, which you need to register for classes and access financial aid information
• Getting started with your email and file storage accounts
• Accessing and changing your personal information in the Electronic Directory
• Downloading free or low-cost software from the CITES Software WebStore
• Accessing the University Residence Halls computer lab stations
• Using Illinois Compass and other web-based course management tools
• Using IStart, web pages for new undergraduate students to select an orientation session and learn more about preparing to come to campus
