Service Awards

Two CITES staff members are recipients of the Chancellor's Distinguished Staff Award (CDSA). Lynne Ellis and Diane Arnold both work in Communications Customer Service. The CDSA is awarded to staff employees from seven employee groups.

Lynne was recognized for her coordination of the telecommunication installations for the new Siebel Center, positive attitude during the Pinnacle transition and her attention to the multitude of details required to provide communication services to the biennial Christian Conference.

Diane was selected for her technical proficiency (especially in the areas of voice mail and data service), her work with the State Police developing an emergency weather system and her assistance to affiliated agencies such as the U.S. Geological Survey and research park tenants.

Nominations are judged against three of five criteria:

  1. Demonstrates excellence in overall work performance
  2. Promoting positive morale by displaying a congenial, supportive attitude and providing service to other
  3. Puts forth an effort to improve self as well as develop and recognize other
  4. Exhibits initiative and creativity resulting in improved operating efficiency of the department and/or University
  5. Enhances the image of the department and/or University
