Where are you?

You can access the campus network and the Internet in several different ways depending on your current location.

Access while on campus

On-campus access options include Ethernet-based UIUCnet, UIUCnet Wireless, and UIUCnet Walkup. You can browse campus resources by facility type or by campus location.

Access while off campus

While you are living off campus in Champaign-Urbana, visiting a home in another location, or studying in a foreign country, there are several ways you can access both campus resources and Internet resources.

Access while traveling

If you are taking a computer with you on vacation, a weekend trip, or simply to a coffeehouse, there are additional connection and security considerations involved in accessing a network from a temporary and sometimes unfamiliar location.
