Protecting Your Work with CITES NetFiles
This page describes how to control who can access a file in NetFiles.
How can I distribute my work online without compromising its security?
Whether you're a researcher, writer, photographer, or musician, you work hard. Now you have to decide how you're going to distribute and protect your work with minimal effort on your part.
By creating a guest ticket in CITES NetFiles, you can grant temporary access to the file of your choice, even if the recipient is not a NetFiles user. The ticket expires automatically (so you can create it and forget it) and the URL created by the ticket is random (so you don't have to worry about the public guessing where your file is).
Campus policies that govern the use of network and computer resources apply to use of NetFiles. The Office of the CIO has compiled a list of Information Technology Policies.
