Iris Scenarios: Enabling and Disabling Ports

CITES > Iris > scenarios > ports

Enabling and disabling ports is nearly instantaneous through Iris. It may take a few moments for a change to be applied, but you will receive visual feedback (either a change in the Change Status column or a new screen with a success or failure message) when the change has been accomplished.

Single ports

Once you have located the port you wish to edit in a Port Status Overview page, the Change Status button in that row allows one-click enabling and disabling.

As this illustration shows, the text on the Change Status button changes to "Enable" if a port is currently disabled.

Multiple ports

To enable or disable more than one port at a time, place a check in the checkbox beside all the ports you wish to change. (The Chk Vis link at the top of the column allows you to automatically check all visible boxes with one click.)

Next, click the Change Settings tab above the table.

In the Edit Port Settings window that displays the control options for your selected ports, change the Admin Status menus for each port. Once you have selected "enabled" or "disabled" as preferred, click the Commit Changes button at the bottom of the screen.
