Guests from Other University of Illinois Campuses

This page contains information for guests and visitors who are coming to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from other University of Illinois campuses.

If you are visiting from either the Chicago campus or the Springfield campus, your NetID will work for many of the Urbana-Champaign campus services.

When you see the "UIUC WWW Authentication Service window" (shown below), you simply add @uic.edu or @uis.edu to the end of your NetID.

If you need access to other Urbana-Champaign services, such as CITES NetFiles, the Instructional Computing Services (ICS) labs, or Active Directory, you can arrange to have local Urbana-Champaign accounts created for you by contacting either your sponsoring department or the CITES Help Desk ( (217) 244-7000 or consult@illinois.edu).
