Express Email: How to Add an IMAP Prefix

CITES > email > express > issues > imap prefix

Mac OS 10 and some IMAP email clients, including Apple Mail and Eudora, have a compatibility issue which prevents new folders from being created on the Express Email server. If you use an IMAP client and try to create a new IMAP folder, you will receive the error message Permission Denied. The instructions provided on this page will correct the permissions problem for Eudora and Apple Mail.

Setting an IMAP prefix for Eudora 6.0.2

1. Open Eudora.

2. Click on Eudora on the Eudora Menu Bar.

3. Select Preferences.

4. Click on the Checking Mail icon in the left pane of the Settings window.
