Resources
There are several ways to get help with your Mallard site. Mallard has a link to context-sensitive help visible on the left icon set. This is often the fastest way to get answers to your questions.
Navigation
- Click on Announcements to view recent messages posted by the instructor.
- Click on Access Newsgroup or Go To WebBoard for course Discussion Board.
- Click on Staff Information to send email to the instructor(s) of the course.
- Click on Lessons Page:
- for lectures, handouts, assignments, etc.
- to take quizzes, practice tests/exams, and surveys (note the due dates)
- to go to hyperlinks specified by your instructor ...and more
- Click on View Grades to check your grades for quizzes.
- Click on Course Gradebook, if it is available, to view grades for other course assignments.
- Click on User Configuration to customize Mallard to your preferences.

Documentation on Mallard can be found at: https://mallard2.cites.uiuc.edu/DOCUMENTATION/. This is a secure site that requires a login and password. You can log on with the following information:

Logging On and Off of Mallard
Use your NetID and NetID password to log on to the Mallard Login Page. If you do not know your NetID and NetID password, see the CITES help document, Your Network ID for more information.
There are two ways to log off of Mallard. Click on the door icon (exit) that appears at the bottom of the icon bar to the left. Make sure you see verification that you are "Logged Out." Or, exit and close your browser software (recommended) by clicking on File > Exit/Quit. The browser will "remember" your login/password even if you have moved to another web site. (NOTE: Do NOT leave the browser running.)
Web Accessibility
While the Mallard's core framework is accessible, Mallard does not currently have a mechanism to ensure that the content uploaded by instructors conforms to basic accessibility guidelines. Instructors should visit the Web Accessibility section of our web site to view the guidelines for accessible web content.
