Creating Discussion Categories
To access the Discussions tool, select the Build tab, and under Course Tools select Discussions.
To create a discussion category, select Create Category.
Enter a Title and Description for the category. If you wish, you may use HTML in your description. You can either enter HTML code directly into the description by checking the box "Use HTML" and imputing your code. Or, if you are not familiar with HTML, you can use the HTML Creator, which provides you with a user friendly interface for creating HTML-ready text.
To associate Goals with the category, click Select Goals. Click Save.
Reordering Categories
To reorder categories, select Reorder Categories.
Click on the selection box of the category that you would like to move. Click on the "Move Selected Items Above" icon to move the category.
Confirm that the category has been moved to the correct place. Click OK.
