Hiding Course Tools from Students
By default, all new Illinois Compass course sites (sites that have not been migrated from a previous semester) will have commonly used
tools visible to students with the others hidden from their view.
However, you may want to hide some of the visible course tools from
students if you do not plan on using them in your course.
Alternatively, you may need to use some of the tools that have been hidden and will want to make them available to students in the course toolbar.
Select the Build tab and under Designer Tools select Manage Course.
Select Course Menu.
Select the course tool that you want to hide, and click the Hide Link button.
The Hide Link button will switch to a Show Link button.
You will see a confirmation message telling you that the course tool has been hidden.
Showing Course Tools to Students

The Show Link button will switch to a Hide Link button.
You will see a confirmation message telling you that the course tool is visible to students.
