Educational Technology Training Support Graduate Assistant
This assistant will work with the professional and student staff of CITES EdTech, including our training and faculty support consultants. Duties will range from developing training materials and other educational technology programs to classroom training support and facilitating formal hands-on training sessions on this campus.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Developing, scheduling, and delivering workshops and presentations on the use of instructional technologies
- Coaching faculty in setting up, using, and managing online courses
- Evaluating new instructional software and technologies for their possible application to UIUC courses
- Collaborating with other staff on various training projects
- Setting up facilities for training
- Facilitate EdTech training workshops
Desirable Experience:
- Knowledge of or experience in instructional design, instructional technologies, and the management of training and development.
- Evaluating programs and workshops.
- Incorporating and creating explanatory graphics in educational/training documents, tutorials, and web-based course development.
- Experience with web and graphic design.
- Experience creating and editing long documents.
Technical expertise in the specific systems supported by CITES EdTech is not a prerequisite for this position—a general competence in training and development, online technologies and a willingness to explore and learn about new technical topics will be sufficient.
This is a 25% position working 10 – 20 hours per week. Person will receive direct supervision from a member of the EdTech Professional Training Staff.
