Working with Tasks
This page contains information about how to work with tasks in Oracle Calendar.
Oracle Calendar allows you to keep track of your to-do list, track the progress of to-do list items, and set reminders.

Creating tasks
Quick List
- Click File -> Open -> Tasks or the Open Tasks button
.
A window similar to the one below will open.
- To quickly create list of items, click in the text box next to New, enter a name for the task, and press the Enter key or click the Checkmark button.
- You can edit the details of these tasks by clicking Edit -> Open... or double-clicking on the description of the task.
Detailed tasks
- Click File - > Open -> Tasks or the My Tasks item under the Tasks selection menu

A window similar to the one above will open. - Click File -> New -> Task or select the
New Task button.
The New Task dialog box opens.
- Enter a name for the task next to Description, and then work through the tabs to enter information for the task.
- On the General tab you can set date and time details for the task (start date, completion date, percentage complete, etc.).
- On the Details tab you can add more information about the task and attach relevant documents.
- On the Reminders tab you can choose to set reminders. Turn the reminder on for either the start time or the due time, and then select the type and the time for the reminder.
- Click OK to save your changes.
Duplicating tasks
When creating several tasks with similar due dates or other information, save time by using the Duplicate Task command.
- Select the task you wish to copy, and then click Edit -> Duplicate.
An exact copy of the task appears in the Tasks pane. - To make changes to the duplicated task, select the duplicate and click Edit -> Open...
Viewing tasks
Make working in your tasks simpler by changing your views to complete, incomplete, active, or all tasks.
- To change your view, click View -> Show, and choose from the following:
- All Tasks
- Incomplete Tasks
- Completed Tasks
- Active Tasks
Deleting tasks
Select the task you wish to delete and click Edit -> Delete.
