Public Group Accounts

CITES > calendaring > Oracle Calendar > public group accounts

Upon request, CITES will create Oracle Calendar public group accounts. These are groups that every Oracle Calendar user on campus can view. As with individual user accounts, public group accounts are $2 per month.

To request a public group account, contact your departmental Oracle Calendar coordinator. If you're not sure who your departmental Oracle Calendar coordinator is, ask your business office or send email to consult@uiuc.edu. Once your account has been created, for instructions on how to begin using the account, please refer to "Oracle Calendar at UIUC: Steps to being using your account."

Naming public group accounts

The names of all Oracle Calendar public groups should start with a departmental abbreviation to make it easier for users to search for particular groups. This may be followed by additional text, if necessary, to distinguish different groups within a department. The whole name must be no longer than 31 characters. Current departmental prefixes include the following:

• CITES: Campus Information Technologies and Educational Services
• OIR: Office of Instructional Resources
