Windows
If another version of Oracle Calendar for Windows has been installed on your machine, you won't need to reconfigure the software and can skip these instructions. If, however, this is your first time installing Oracle Calendar for Windows, you'll need to configure it by doing the following:
- Go to Start -> Programs -> Oracle Calendar -> Oracle Calendar 9.0.4 to launch the program.
- On the Oracle Calendar Sign-In screen, click on Other....
- In the Connection Manager dialog box, click on New....
- In the Connect Name field, type what you would like to call it: e.g., calendar or your name.
- In the Server field, type calendar.uiuc.edu.
- Select Lookup.
- Click OK.
- On the Connection Manager screen, highlight the name you typed in step 4 and click Make Default.
- If you want Oracle Calendar to remember your password, check the box for Enable Automatic Sign-in.
- Select OK.
- Type your NetID in the User Name field.
- Type your Oracle Calendar password in the Password field.
- Click Sign-in. Note that Oracle Calendar remembers the last account logged into the system and will prompt that user to type in his or her password on subsequent sign-ins.
Macintosh
- Double-click on the Oracle Calendar icon.
- On the Oracle Calendar Sign-In screen, click Other.
- On the Connection Manager screen, click New.
- In the Connect Name field, type calendar.uiuc.edu.
- In the Server field, type calendar.uiuc.edu.
- Click Lookup.
- Click OK.
- On the Connection Manager screen, select calendar.uiuc.edu and click Make Default.
- If you want Oracle Calendar to remember your password, check the box for Enable Automatic Sign-in.
- Click Done.
- Type your NetID in the User Name field.
- Type your Oracle Calendar password in the Calendar Password field.
- Click Sign-in. Note that Oracle Calendar remembers the last account logged into the system and will prompt that user to type in his or her password on subsequent sign-ins.
